Woodstream, Saturday Evening

A very welcoming park.

Last week they (the powers that be) were working on Woodstream Park, making the stream more “Salmon Friendly”, to encourage the spawning salmon to make the trek upstream and find great spots to leave their eggs.

A California Poppy starting to close at the end of the day.

This means that the park is not as dog friendly as before, there are small fences aimed at encouraging dog owners to keep their pets out of the stream and some of the trees have been trimmed or taken right down to add some more sun into the mix.  The changes look great and I hope that they work as intended.

Happy Walking

    Hi Lynette:
I have wanted to reply to your pictures for quite awhile, but it seems that things get in the way. I really enjoy all your pictures. I bought a camera a few months ago but I haven’t had a chance to use it as yet. I enjoy your pictures and all the pretty flowers because they are of British Columbia and this province has a lot of offer. Yes, that would be a good place for salmon to spawn, but it might have to be cleaned up just a bit. I’m sure the people who are on the project know what they are doing. I am also an admirer of all the knitting designs that you have done. I’m planning to making your Roses Scarf, I have all the wool Madeline Tosh Lace Weight Yarn, but I have another project on hand right now, but I’ll get to your scarf very shortly. I also really love your teacozies. Say Hi to Soiphie she is really very pretty.
