I am not often at a loss for words……..This morning is different. I know that I have something to say but there are no words coming. I was once told the best cure for this is to sit down and just start to type and words will come.
“If you build it they will come.”
I am not sure that will work in this case but it is worth a shot.
It snowed yesterday afternoon. The flakes were two inches across – the big wet shapes that all clump together and build up fast! They fell for about two hours before they changes back into rain. In that two hours complete chaos ensued. The roads were horrible; they were covered in snow; and then the rain just poured down, the snow melted, the drains blocked and there were lakes everywhere.
I think that chaos effected my brain. I forgot to bring my knitting – the felted bag for the Spring Class – home and my work home.
As a result I went hunting for an old project that I had been thinking about – more on that in a minute – and this morning I am blogging instead of posting the Spring Class Schedule for the store!
Shussh! I think that “it” is working!
I found the project.
Quills, one of Beth’s patterns; a garter shawl with an easy edge, slightly gathered. I am working it in an old yarn from Handmaiden. Remember the 2-ply cashmere? I had forgotten what a great yarn this is! I worked 3 more repeats of the pattern last night and made a decision, this will not go back into the void. This is going to get finished and soon. I want to wear it!
Something old is now something new and shiny, what a great way to improve a day!
It is dreay again this morning! Wet and Grey and Dripping! So West Coast! Why not find yourself something old to make new and shiny again?
