A Wet and glorious walk at Neck Point on Saturday. Eagles and ducks, sparrows and flowers, clouds and water at every horizon and grey’s ruled the day.
The wild flowers were welcome shots of colour amongst the greens and greys of the scenery around us.
The wind roared in on Saturday evening and is still here. It blew away the stormy clouds and left us with clear skies and a few puffy white clouds that scuttle across the blue – in a hurry to leave!
Sunday morning we went to Linley Valley. I haven’t walked there in ages. Amazing! What a difference in the skies from the day before.
A hawk circled lazily overhead as we arrived and sparrows shot across the meadows in the bright sunlight. The grass was tall and glowing green in the fields around the lake.
Yellow Iris’s and Water Lilies shared space with rushes and the birds darted and danced through them all!
There was a mother duck and a couple of ducklings with her; diving around the lily pads and chasing after bugs. I could have watched them for hours!
