Beth is here for a short visit.  Tomorrow is Fathers Day.  My father and uncle are coming for dinner.  It is a real family weekend!

The Chihuly exhibit from last weekend was an incredible show that flowed from one idea to the next.  Today I will share two rooms with you.

The SeaLife room is next in line in the Chihuly exhibit.  This room featured a chandelier of blue and green glass flutes that rose from the floor.  Within the flutes were sea urchins, fish, sea stars and other types of marine life all glowing and lit from within.

The rooms in the gallery flow from one to the other.  The Persian Ceiling was one of my favorites.

An immense sense of size and colour were what greeted me here.  I had to look up and keep looking up.  A heavy glass ceiling supported by great girders.  The glass sheet that was ceiling was covered in layers of the pieces of glass that are called Persians by Dale Chihuly.

The walls of the approximately 10 foot by 20 foot room glowed with all the colours of the glass that were reflected from above.

I have already started to design a shawl based on the colours and shapes here.  I could have spent hours in this room alone.

Happy Viewing

This is stunning! Such beautiful colours and shapes. Of course your artistic photography accentuates its beauty perfectly.
