I readily admit to being spoiled by where I live. Today was a day in which to revel. Clear Blue skies overhead; meeting hazy blue mountains; meeting wild shimmering blue ocean. A day in the book of memories. A perfect day.
It sent waves crashing to shore; sail boarders and sail boats skimming and diving across the water; and sunlight dancing across the surface of the Georgia Straight.
We walked at Piper’s Lagoon this morning. The tide was heading out and it was easy to walk over to the point. We saw an Eagle being chased by the gulls. There were several Heron’s at various places; in flight; at the Ocean’s edge and in the trees.
And the trees – they moved and shook and danced with every breeze – showing us their skirts and laughing at the sky.
Because of the wind there was movement everywhere. The grasses along the shoreline and the trees up on the point moved in unison and the colours flowed like water. It was a magical morning.
The same type of morning as one seventeen years ago – the same day of the week, same day of the same month, same weather – seventeen years ago when my husband Tom and I were married. Another magical, perfect memory day!
There were many people out and enjoying this perfect day. I hope that you enjoy the viewing.
