Knitting and “All that Jazz”

Colette - wearing the Buffalo yarns.

Knitting is going apace.  Never any end in sight and that is the way that I like it!  It is a little scary how many idea’s are floating around my brain right now.  It seems that Spring Fever is lasting well into Summer.

There has been a new addition to the household.  Her name is Colette and she is trés chic.  Her counterpart, Maisie had been visiting but now has returned home.

Colette has a very important role in this household and she will be much photographed as she helps me display my knitting.  Right now she is displaying the hanks of Buffalo and Black Gold!

"All that Jazz" cloche, ready to finish - again.

“All that Jazz” cloche, ready to finish – again.

I did have a bit of a setback this weekend.  I have been working on a Cabled Cloche in some of the Buffalo Wool yarns – “All that Jazz”.

I had the ends woven in and “All that Jazz” was finished.  I put in on and realized that it was a lot too slouchy for a cloche.  I put it down, backed away and waited for this morning to rip it back.  I will finish it this evening I think!

Holden - Working into the second repeat of the lace.

Holden – Working into the second repeat of the lace.

Because of the slight set-back I picked up the Holden Shawlette.  It was waiting for me to find my undyed Handmaiden Lace Silk.

I still haven’t found the silk (I have about 3 hanks in my stash!).  So I went with plan B.  I am now working with some left-over undyed silk/mohair blend for my accent!  It will work as well, maybe better.  Sometimes the unplanned substitutions make things more interesting!

The lace class for the Celtic Fichu was fabulous.  The weather was perfect, not too hot and not too sunny.  The courtyard was a perfect setting for the class and a good time was had by all.

Sunny, Summer Knitting!

Hope that you have some sunny, summertime knitting planned for your summer!

Happy Knitting

Oohh! Love the cloche, beads, two colours. Looks very chic. Yes, definitely to be added to the list. When will the pattern be available?

    • Hi Ria! Pattern should be available early next month! It is getting test-knit right now.
And that is definitely one of my cozies. An older one. The next open air lesson is next Thursday, Beaded fair-isle mittens. Are you up for a day Trip?! LOL! I will provide the tea and pattern, you bring your yarn and needles!

P.S. Is that one of your beautiful tea cosies that I see on the table? Tea, a knitting lesson, and the bonus of siting outside under the umbrellas. Fabulous, wish I had been there.
