Small Details

Life is often about those little details that make up the whole package.

When designing – it is the details that often separate a good idea from a great one.

In life – it is the details that separate the day-to-day grind.

Right now it is Summer and it has been a spectacular one so far.  Sunshine continuously – and only recently – just a little rain at night.  Summer details include fresh fruit and lots of it both in quantity and variety – check.  Sunshine – check.  Company – check.  Yup; Looks like summer.

Yesterday was the complete package for Summer.  Company, fruit and sunshine by dinner.  The morning was quiet.  We walked at Neck Point, the sky and water sort of merged into each other.  The bee’s were busy everywhere.

There were also many people at the park.  A wedding was about to start and well dressed couples were climbing the up the hill and then down the stairs to the boat deck.  There were quite a few groups of tourists (someone’s company), with their hosts, getting tours of the park.

Walking the dog is always a popular activity at the park.  There were quite a few dogs getting walked yesterday and Sophie had to greet them all!

The tide was low and the beach was fully exposed.  Weathered wood littered the shoreline and was stacked into impromptu sculptures on a couple of the beaches.  One Heron was looking for lunch under the overhanging trees along the shoreline and another Heron was resting on a log in the slough across the road!

My brother and his family are in town.  We haven’t seen each other in a long time.  They will be here for another week.  And we are planning on many meals together and creating lots of opportunity to visit.

It is always amazing how much, and at the same time, how little, has changed.  The small details of who a person is never really changes!  They are merely masked by time.

More family today.  We are taking them to Linley valley to walk the dogs.  The then everyone will be coming for dinner; cold ham and salads I think!

Have a great day!

Lynette
