It was a busy weekend. Pic-Knit and travel should have been great for my knitting! It wasn’t.
By the end of the weekend I was further behind than on Friday! On the up side I got to socialize with friends at the Pic-Knit. And on Sunday got to spend time with family with family, chatting, remembering and sharing!
Sunday was the Celebration of Life for my Uncle – Howard Donald Cameron. He lives a long and wonderful life and his family and friends came to celebrate. There was much laughter, tears and memories. A Piper played and stories were told. Uncle Don was a sailor in the American Navy and fought in WWII.
Red Skies at Night – Sailor’s Delight – a fitting end to a memorable day!
The ferry ride home was right into the sunset! There was a cruise ship heading to Alaska and the sky was painted with colour! Sea and sky were painted an intense orange, shading to soft glowing pink and many shades of blue.
As we drew away from the mainland the air was so clear that the Coastal mountains were drawn sharp and clear against the fading blues of the sky.
I took many photographs. These are the best! Maybe I took to many – so hard to choose.
