Last Gasp of Summer

Happy Daisies - so bright against the dull greens!

Happy Daisies – so bright against the dull greens!

The flowers in the garden are pretty much done, except for a stubborn Dahlia and some happy daisies!  It is so wonderful to see those shots of colour against an otherwise drab garden.

This Dahlia has never done this well. Must be liking the fall weather!

I have just finished off the Chihuly Chevron Gloves.  The pattern will be available next week.  These were fun gloves to knit and I am sure that I will enjoy them this winter!

The Vitelotte Fingerless Mittens have undergone a change in direction.  They are no longer fingerless.  I thought that they were too pretty to stop and the yarn angora was plenty warm enough for real mittens.  Last night I finished off the first mitten.  I love them.  Now to remember the changes I made to re-create the second mitten!

Happy Knitting
