Tomorrow evening I head up Island for the Campbell River Fibre Fest.  I will be one of the many teachers in varied fibre fields that will be congregating in Campbell River for the weekend!

My kits are ready for the Burka Cap class – a beaded lace cap; as are the handouts for it and the Thrumming class.  There is still room in both of my classes if you were looking for a last-minute activity for the weekend.

On Saturday night there will be a special opening of the Campbell River Museum for the Fibre Fest Attendee’s.  The museums most recent exhibit is on the history of Coastal Textiles – Threads Through Time; a Coastal Textile History and the curator will be there to speak about the exhibit and answer questions.  Ticket are $10.00 and can be purchased at the Fibre Fest.  Did I mention that the Curator and designer of the exhibit is my daughter Beth Boyce.  I am so proud I could just “Burst”!

This year I will be taking Garden Gate up for the Show and Tell!

Last year the weather was spectacular – sunny and clear – I hope that we get that lucky this year.  The Festival itself was busy – it started Friday evening with an incredible array of talented people sharing their skills and finished projects at a large-scale show and tell.

And then there was the market, demonstrations and classes for the rest of the weekend!

See you there!
