Lazy Summer Weekend! NOT!

It is over! Our one big social event of the Summer!  Now I can relax and get back to a “normal” rhythm!

July has been a very busy month.  Look for a pattern of mine in the Vogue Knitting Holiday edition – that was two weeks of frantic knitting.  Our big social event – we have a party every summer.  And life – it was just busy.

I haven’t blogged as much.  Not enough time and not much interesting going on.  I have kept on walking every weekend.  This last weekend we walked at Neck point and Morrell.  There were a few good pictures.

I need to finished the front opening - the first attempt was bad - I am contemplating options. I am thinking beaded crochet.

The knitting is constant.  Right now I am halted on a small project that needs a good finish.  As I contemplate it I am finishing off another project that just needs the sample done so that I can release the pattern.  I have 3 other patterns that I am working on – they should be ready by the end of the long weekend.

Koigu #6 is due out at the end of this week and I have a shawl pattern in it.  I can hardly wait to share.  I am very proud of this one.  It is one of the best I have designed!

By many standards we don’t get too hot here – but we get hotter than I like sometimes – and this Summer has been a warm one so far!  The heat saps my energy!

Another floral in it’s own little vase. Collecting is so much fun!

You know that I have started to collect “florals”.  Lovely little bouquets of china flowers made, mostly in Great Britain and mostly from the mid-twentieth century.  This new one is special.  yesterday a new box arrived via the mail.  A Gorham silver vase/candleholder with a Coalport floral bouquet insert.  Once the silver was polished – perfection.

I hope that your Summer is everything that you want!

I hope that your knitting is on track and your visitors are many!  I hope that you are as busy as you like – that includes as lazy as you like as well!

Happy Viewing!
