Rhiannon’s Cloak

rhiannons cloakYesterday was Submission Day for the Stevie Nicks Design Competition – now it is up to Fate as we wait for the results!  Voting through Facebook and Twitter is open until Sept 29th, 10:00 am Pacific Time.

Rhiannon’s Cloak is the name of my submission.  Please take the time to have  a look at the submissions and cast a vote.

Now that the submission date is past I can slow down and go back to my more “normal” schedule – regular posts – work on all of my half done patterns and just work on finishing Rhiannon’s Cloak.

This is the most ambitious beaded project that I have ever undertaken and I am loving every minute of it!  There will be over 15000 beads and crystals on this piece and it will drape and move with the weight of the beads.

I have had a great deal of help along the way with this project.  Chuck MacQuarrie designed the Concept Illustration and submission image for me.  Emily edited and rewrote my description until it said everything I wanted it to say and Ron and Theresa Miskin of the Buffalo Wool Co. have been staunch with their support from day one.

Thank-you all for the support – now go and vote!!  LOL!

Will you be releasing the pattern? Was this at Stitches West 2016?

    • Hi Fran
I am currently working on a smaller version of Rhiannon that will be released later this year. I don’t know if it was at Stitches West 2016, but it was introduced at Stiches South 2015. The Rhiannon’s Cloak is more of an art piece.
