Into the Mystic

From the start of the walk the light was amazing.

From the start of the walk the light was amazing.

There was something really special about this mornings walk.

The light cascaded from the skies to the ground.

The light cascaded from the skies to the ground.

I have been pondering just how to describe the feeling, pinpoint the emotions I felt as I started the walk.  The walk through the first 500+ meters was close to an “experience”.  A celebration of life.  How prosaic the remainder of the day.

Like the panes of cathedral windows the tree branches broke up and outlined the light and colours.

Like the panes of cathedral windows the tree branches broke up and outlined the light and colours.

As I putter about making wacky cake, preparing the peppers and starting the sauce for the Chicken Parmesan, words cruise through my mind…

How small we are.

How small we are.

Mystic; Magical; Reverent; Cathedral; Touched; Healing; Closer to….;

….None really fit.

The light traced pathways from the skies to the ground.  The connections were real and tangible to my eyes.  I am not particularly religious – but that is what I felt this morning.

Thank-you for listening.
